What we collect today
- Feedback messages submitted through the site widget.
- Optional email address if you include one with feedback.
- IP address and user agent in standard server logs.
- Optional feedback file attachments, capped at 5MB and limited to png, jpg, jpeg, or pdf files.
What we do not do today
- No third-party advertising.
- No analytics tracking yet.
- We do not sell user data, ever.
- No required account creation.
How we use what we collect
Feedback messages are reviewed by the maintainer to improve the site. Server logs are used for diagnostics, abuse prevention, and security.
Where data lives
Feedback is stored in a SQLite database on the hosting server. Uploaded files are stored in a non-public directory. Neither is exposed as a public route.
Future changes
We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, such as Plausible or Umami, which do not track individuals. If we do, this policy will be updated and visitors will be notified via a banner on the next visit.
We may add third-party advertising in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated to describe what cookies those ads place and what data the ad networks receive. We will require cookie consent before any tracking cookie is placed.
We may add paid subscription tiers in the future. If we do, payments will be processed by a PCI-compliant provider, likely Stripe. We will not store full payment card information ourselves.
